June makes functional pots on the wheel and loves making things people will use and love every day.  Mugs with bigger handles, rounded bowls, and coffee filters/pourovers, from porcelain, and red or grey stoneware. Her first pottery class at age 11 started a lifelong love of clay. Recently she’s been exploring more slip decoration and the effect of coloured slip and tinted glazes to add depth and texture. June Macdonald is a member of the Waterloo Potters’ Workshop where she also teaches and shares her love of throwing with adults.
