Nancy Corbett is a plein air oil painter, creating colourful oil paintings on wood.  Her inspirations come from connecting with the natural world and feeling the energy and beauty of nature wherever she and her family travel.

 

Originally from northern Ontario, she has called Waterloo her home for the last 25 years. She is grateful to have a cottage near Bracebridge, Ontario where she is continually inspired by beautiful lakes, trees and fantastic skies.  She has been painting plein air for over three decades, with her style influenced by the French Impressionists and Canadian Group of Seven.  She enjoys using a colourful pallet and loose brush strokes.  Her work has been shown in MAST since 2011, as well as at the PWD art gallery and Button Factory Arts over the last decade.

 

Nancy is passionate about protecting the environment, promoting respect and love for nature, and supporting non profit organizations that do the same.
