Pat Kalyn grew up in Toronto where her interest in art began at an early age creating classroom murals in grade school.  She now lives in the Kitchener-Waterloo area.  By her use of colour and design she strives to create  paintings in watercolours, acrylics and mixed media, that capture a mood and involve and excite the viewer.  She enjoys experimenting with various mixed mediums, dye-on-silk and printmaking.  Her goal is to have the passion and excitement she feels when painting touch the heart of the viewer.Pat describes herself as a motivational/ inspirational teacher/facilitator whose style is designed to motivate student artists to explore various techniques, break-out-of-the-box, and explore the ‘what-ifs’ regardless of the mediums.  She is an award winning artist whose work is in private and corporate collections in Ontario, British Columbia, The United States and Ukraine.Pat is a member of the Button Factory-Arts, Kitchener Waterloo Society of Artists, and Central Ontario Art Association.
